Gracie Barra Herriman accepts Utah Fits All, OpenEd, Harmony, and the Carson Smith Opportunity Scholarship (Children First). If your child is eligible, these programs can help pay for classes.

Looking for a PE option your homeschooler will look forward to? Jiu-Jitsu gives kids and teens structured classes with a coach, a clear curriculum, and friends their own age. It's an environment where healthy habits and discipline become part of the routine. Kids develop balance, coordination, and motor skills, and they burn off energy in a way that feels like play. Utah Fits All Scholarship

Who it's for: Utah K–12 students who learn at home or attend a private school.
How it works: We're an approved provider on the UFA marketplace, so the program pays the school directly.

How it works: You pay the school, then send your receipts to OpenEd for reimbursement.

Let us know. Send us a screenshot or a quick message. We'll follow up and give your child access to classes.

Each program sets its own eligibility rules and covered expenses, and they can change. The uniform (Gi) is usually not covered. Check the details with your program.

We Defy Foundation is a volunteer-run nonprofit that helps combat veterans coping with military-connected disabilities find a long-term way to overcome their challenges through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Gracie Barra Herriman is proud to be a We Defy Foundation Approved Training Facility, supporting We Defy scholarship recipients with the same structured curriculum, coaching standards, and team culture we're known for. Through this partnership, eligible veterans can receive a 12-month Jiu-Jitsu scholarship at approved academies, making it easier to rebuild confidence, restore purpose, and connect with a strong community on the mats.

Having trained with my family for about a year and a half, I can personally attest to the amazing transformation. With my experience I have had nothing but a positive experience. My training partner are my best friends,  we support each other on and off the mats, and in tournament. ALL the professors are caring but hold a strong standard of Gracie Barra traditions and they simply love Jiu-jitsu. You can see it in the way they teach and speak about Jiu-jitsu. They will take care of you.
We are family in jiu-jitsu. We have picnics, we went on hikes, we played at a lake. We celebrate wedding and baby shows and birthday's.
When it comes down to it Gracie Barra is a outstanding place to learn self-defense, self worth, self improvement, self love with a little hint of Brazilian traditions.
