Gracie Barra Herriman is a great place to train. The instructors are knowledgeable and supportive, and the environment is welcoming and respectful. I am absolutely thrilled about the opening of Gracie Barra Herriman! This isn’t just another Jiu-Jitsu school— Gracie Barra is the largest and most trusted global Jiu-Jitsu family in the world. Having trained with my family for about a year and a half, I can personally attest to the amazing transformation. I've noticed my son has developed significantly greater focus, discipline, and respect—he's learned far more than just martial arts techniques. For me, it's a wonderful way to get consistent exercise and quality physical activity that we can enjoy and practice together as a family. The team of professors here is truly outstanding, consistently instilling confidence, discipline, and crucial mental focus in every student. The Jiu-Jitsu taught at Gracie Barra is a practical and highly effective self-defense system, empowering kids and adults to use leverage and strategy to escape difficult situations. More importantly, the mental toughness and strategic problem-solving skills we develop on the mats apply directly to overcoming challenges in daily life, school, and work. I have been a member of Gracie Barra for about a year and a half. I am a blue belt. With my experience I have had nothing but a positive experience. My training partner are my best friends,  we support each other on and off the mats, and in tournament. ALL the professors are caring but hold a strong standard of Gracie Barra traditions and they simply love Jiu-jitsu. You can see it in the way they teach and speak about Jiu-jitsu. They will take care of you. We are family in jiu-jitsu. We have picnics, we went on hikes, we played at a lake. We celebrate wedding and baby shows and birthday's.
